My name is Sonya and I am addicted to the smell of new baby’s heads:) That might be why I had 4 of my own. My husband and I have a daughter Shelby is a nursing school student through UNMC, our son Carson is a freshman at UNK, our son Kyle is a junior in high school, our daughter Paige who died when she was 3 month old of SIDS is waiting patently for us in Heaven.
I laugh easily and often, and I cry at commercials. I am always happiest when surrounded by children (yours and mine). Mostly self-taught, I feel very blessed to be able to do what I love to do; creating with those I photograph something so wonderful. I love babies and kids so I feel very fortunate to be able to do what I love everyday. I feel so blessed that God gave me this gift and I want to pass that blessing on to others through beautiful photography. I promise your session will be as stress free and fun as it can be.
I started Sonya Schultz Photography in 2010 after my dear friend Heather who was our town’s photographer died of breast cancer at the age of 35. I always admired Heathers work ethic in her photography business and loved how happy she made people with the images she captured.
I got my first “fancy” camera when the kids where little and I am so glad I have all those pictures. This photography journey started when a family friend asked me to take pictures of her grandkids - fast forward 3 years and after 23 years in the advertising and marketing business I decided to pursue this passion full time.
It’s an honor for me to be asked to share time with you, your family, and friends. Each session holds a special place in my heart. My hope is that your photos touch your heart as well, and become cherished memories you enjoy over and over again.
